A Butterfly In The Garden

The butterfly in ‘A Butterfly in the Garden’ is perched in the middle of a raised flower garden - deciding where to go to next. The Goldwork Butterfly is stitched separately and later attached to the center of the design. Many specialty stitches are utilized in this piece to give the stitcher a broader experience while creating a lovely raised bed flower garden. Each flower bed is a distinctly different ornamental, or compound, stitch. The walkways are there as a means of getting from one side of the garden to the other. Beads have been added to four of the sections to add variety and decoration. There is much compensation to be understood; consequently, a good understanding of compensation is required. The raised flower bed will appeal to a wide variety of stitchers allowing them the opportunity to experience different advanced stitches along with the ability to move areas and colors around within the design to change it to their satisfaction.
